Barring any future notices the St. Stephens Historical Park will remain open with only modifications to our usual procedures. Please visit our Facebook page, St. Stephens Historical Park, and www.OldStStephens.net to stay informed on any future announcements.
PARK AND TRAILS
The general use areas of the park and the trails are open to our day guests and lodgers. Admission for your day visit may be paid in the Honor Box on the porch of the store. The gate house is not staffed for guest interactions. Admission is $3 for guests age 12 and over, $2 for guests ages 6 to 11, and free for guests age 5 and under.
It is our intention for guests to be able to enjoy the beauty of nature and the fresh air during this time of suggested social distancing. We suggest that you adhere to the recommendations of keeping to your own family group, maintaining six or more feet between your group and other groups, and not visiting the park if you or anyone in your household shows signs of illness.
PARK OFFICE / STORE
The Park Office / Store is open from 12PM-5PM daily. Mask regulations will follow those issued by the State of Alabama. Messages left at 251-247-2622 are returned daily.
BOATS
Until further notice, we are not able to rent boats. We do not have the manpower to sanitize boats, paddles, and life jackets between rentals. As the COVID-19 crisis continues to lessen, this policy will be revisited.
BEACH ACCESS
The swimming area and beach will only be open to guests with reservations. Reservations may be made by calling or visiting the park office. Beach occupancy is monitored, so the number of daily passes is limited. Beach admission is $6 for guests ages 12 and over and $4 for all guests age 11 and under.
RESTROOMS / BATH HOUSES / COMFORT STATIONS
Our park has a small staff. We make every effort to provide clean facilities. The restrooms are cleaned regularly, but we advise you to exercise caution when using any public facility.
LODGING GUESTS
Guests are always welcome in the RV campgrounds and the cabins. Please remember the recommendations on social distancing. If you are staying in a cabin and anyone in your party has any signs of illness, please make the office staff aware of the situation. We are committed to protecting our current guests, our staff, and our future guests.
We are following the situation closely and working to meet the needs of our community while providing a safe environment for our guests and our staff.
